Small, and very high performance...Very high quality molding, lots of detail, good paint, good water transfer decals, clear canopy with cockpit deck(the pics on the nitroplanes website show an early prototype with a tinted canopy), easily removeable or replaceable landing gear, full flying stab, easy fan access for maintanance, lots of nice features. In the air, it's pure dynamite, everybody guesses it to be about 70mph, and that's very fast for such a small airplane! It's a whole level of performance above the rest of the RTF EDF jets... It's basically the smallest airframe that you can wrap around a 64mm fan. Hand launching is really easy, there is a grip molded in for doing it, and you don't need to heave it, it will fly away from just a light toss with no problems. Roll rate is tremendous, vertical performance is awesome, and downright speed, well...most EDFs, you fly around at full bore all the time, with this one, you want to save full throttle for verticals and high speed passes, and throttle back to half or two thirds to keep the thing manageable the rest of the time, it's mighty quick. It's very easy to land, I have been bellying mine in on the grass with no problems, though you might want to put a little glass cloth on the lower lip of the intakes, they tend to snag the grass and get chipped up. With the landing gear on, off pavement, it has no bad habits at all. The gear comes on and off with a few screws in a minute or two. It takes up no room in the car, it can fly out of small parks, or you can take it to the club field and mix it up with the big boys, it costs little, it requires no maintainance, it looks great, and it flies great. It's my new favorite airplane! Just add batteries to the transmitter, charge the flight batteries using the included charger, bolt the tail wing to the boom, connect the flap push rods and you're ready to fly! * **The Radio Transmitter*** The transmitter has simple 2-channel proportional joystick controls with trims. The left stick controls the throttle and the right stick controls the tail flaps for turning. It's kind of like driving a car except the faster you go, the higher you climb! The radio transmitter (shown above) also features trim controls for precise adjustments of throttle and flaps. The control range is 1500' to give you plenty of margin Ready-To-Fly right out of the box. Remarkable crash-tolerant construction The ability to "crash without being trashed" makes the park flyer a true "survivor" The Planes single-piece poly molded fuselage and fiberglass tail boom is exceptionally tough. Forget about those hard crashes that usually destroy front-end motors and propellers, because the YellowBee's motor and pusher propeller are rear-mounted. Tough, enamel-coated foam wings attach with rubber bands that pop off in a crash to prevent extensive wing damage. If you're a beginner you will be especially glad to know that I include several spare parts to help you through the ordinary mishaps which are all part of the learning process. 4 CH A-10 Thunderbolt II Radio Remote Control Electric Ducted Fan RC Fighter Jet RTF (Desert) $79 The A-10 program is developing the next-generation air superiority fighter for the Air Force to counter emerging worldwide threats. This A-10 holds the same beautiful lines as the original fighter jet. The wing and body used in this jet are specially designed to allow high G maneuvers, yet the wing loading is still very low. It becomes a stable aircraft with excellent performance. RTF (Ready To Fly) Version What the Pro says! Construction quality and paintwork from the factory is excellent, no problems at all. It took me about 20 minutes to put it together using five minute epoxy. I left the landing gear off, I prefer to hand launch. Be sure ot put some tape on the bottom for protection. The plane flies fine on the stock NIMH pack and brushed motors, in spite of all the internet "Experts" saying it would not. It will loop and roll, no problem, but it's modestly powered with the stock setup, and flight times are maybe five minutes, tops. Swapping out the 650NIMH pack for a three cell 1300 lipo made a whole new airplane out of it. Now it is fast and vividly aerobatic, and flight times are long. I set a timer at eight minutes to make sure I do not overdrain the lipo and ruin it. No reason why you could not put in a 2200 pack, either. Beware of one thing, though...the way it is set up from the factory, there is way too much elevator throw, and you may kill it on the first flight attempt. Move the control horn to the innermost hole on the elevator servo horn, and the outermost one on the horn on the elevator, and everything will be fine. I am still using the included 27mhz radio. It will occasionally glitch if I point the TX antenna right at the airplane, otherwise, it has been working fine. I have put a dozen flights in using the 11v lipo and the stock brushed motors, and the motors and ESC are still going strong, so consider that before buying a brushless converson for it. Power is a non-issue with the stock motors and a lipo batt. The plane is stable and easy to fly, yet very aerobatic. I like flying it in low and close, like the real thing. All I can say is the plane is better than expected in all respects, much better than similar offering, and it is well built and a super value for the money. Small, and very high performance...Very high quality molding, lots of detail, good paint, good water transfer decals, clear canopy with cockpit deck(the pics on the nitroplanes website show an early prototype with a tinted canopy), easily removeable or replaceable landing gear, full flying stab, easy fan access for maintanance, lots of nice features. In the air, it's pure dynamite, everybody guesses it to be about 70mph, and that's very fast for such a small airplane! It's a whole level of performance above the rest of the RTF EDF jets... It's basically the smallest airframe that you can wrap around a 64mm fan. Hand launching is really easy, there is a grip molded in for doing it, and you don't need to heave it, it will fly away from just a light toss with no problems. Roll rate is tremendous, vertical performance is awesome, and downright speed, well...most EDFs, you fly around at full bore all the time, with this one, you want to save full throttle for verticals and high speed passes, and throttle back to half or two thirds to keep the thing manageable the rest of the time, it's mighty quick. It's very easy to land, I have been bellying mine in on the grass with no problems, though you might want to put a little glass cloth on the lower lip of the intakes, they tend to snag the grass and get chipped up. With the landing gear on, off pavement, it has no bad habits at all. The gear comes on and off with a few screws in a minute or two. It takes up no room in the car, it can fly out of small parks, or you can take it to the club field and mix it up with the big boys, it costs little, it requires no maintainance, it looks great, and it flies great. It's my new favorite airplane!
